The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will continue a series of “On the Road” meetings and invites the public to join them to discuss issues of interest or concern regarding La Plata County. “We look forward to meeting with as many people as possible in an informal setting to hear what’s on people’s minds,” said Commissioner Bobby Lieb, Chair of the Board of County Commissioners. County to Proceed with Medical Marijuana Regulatory Efforts
After receiving information from La Plata County's insurance provider and thoroughly reviewing and clarifying La Plata County’s liability coverage and potential liability exposure with respect to its regulatory activities related to medical marijuana, La Plata County Attorney Sheryl Rogers today recommended to the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners that the County should proceed with its medical marijuana regulatory efforts rather than to consider a ban on medical marijuana cultivation and infused-product manufacturing facilities.
